About

I'm Hanna Howard, a 20-something graduate of Northwestern University and assistant at Lucky Magazine. I grew up in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. and now I live in New York City, where I hope to spend the rest of my 20s. A magazine journalism major and former intern for Lucky, SELF, and the Washington Post Express, I'm an aspiring magazine editor (my dream job of all time would be to be an editor-at-large at Vogue like Hamish Bowles). I love coffee (see left), pie, fashion, pop culture, terrible action movies, bright colors, beating people at trivia games and being really, really lazy.

From the Suburbs to the City is my attempt to document this transitional stage in my life. I've spent my whole life living in the suburbs (other than a five-month stint living in NYC in college) and moving to the big city has been a huge change. This blog is my attempt to expand my horizons while I navigate my venture into the unknown.
